Take six superbly talented, hard-working, fun-loving entertainers, a collection of the best party music around, mix in Tom Jones,
Elvis Presley, David Kramer, a fake Latin lover and some Austin Powers, add a whole lot of exuberance and you have the recipe for an unforgettable two hours
of non-stop rock n roll, guaranteed to get audiences hopping, bopping and having the time of their lives!
Whether presented as a cabaret, high energy, wall to wall rock n rock celebration featuring a montage of 60's and 70's favourites, or as a Carribbean Reggae Latin Beach Party, the show offers the best value in interactive entertainment .
That Rollicking Rock n Roll Show features no less than 66 songs in its cabaret format - see examples of repertoire - and an up to date mix in the party section.
Fronting the frenetic bunch is comic chameleon Gino Fabbri, who oozes personality whilst taking off the antics of legendary singers. The delightful and sensational Tara-Jane Metzler heads up the glamour department, while vocalist extraordinaire Melvyn Matthews holds the audience spellbound with his ability to keep the party charged.
The final lineup of the show depends on the audience profile and the kind of show that is being staged. The 2005 Grahamstown festival lineup also includes ace vocalist and keyboard player Rory McLaren, the delightful Tara-Jane Metzler, accompanied by the skilful guitar-antics and quirky Latino charm of Eppie Angileri (of Eppie and the Boys fame), as well as the genius of Donovan Hattingh on guitar.
They are joined regularly by the smooth, gregarious appeal of Ian Mc Claggan, with ladies man and Bee Gees sound-alike Andre Strydom on bass and vocals.
The show has performed in many high profile events for companies as diverse as Coca Cola, Plascon, Standard Bank, Rennies, Fancourt and Sandoz, where they performed to great acclaim at the Kruger National Park. They were chosen to perform at the opening beach party for the recent South African Association for the Conferencing Industry's annual conference and have performed several times for Sun International, including being booked to perform at the Boardwalk Casino's main MVG New Year's party this year.
