The show is fronted by Algoa FM DJ, MC and Idols Top 20 finalist Buli G, along with the awesome vocal power and stage presence of Melvyn Matthews, who is arguably one of the most impressive vocalists that SA has ever seen. They are joined by jazz smoothie
Denzil Africa, live-wire Popstars finalist Donna Africa and cabaret diva Tara Jane Metzler,
and depending on the group dynamic - the ever smooth Rory McLaren features.
Favourite songs from the soul divas and Motown superstars of the sixties and seventies such as The Temptations, The Four Tops, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Dianna Ross, Lionel Richie, Barry White, The Pointer Sisters, Patti Labelle, Michael Jackson, Bob Marley and Whitney Houston are combined with more recent chart-toppers in similar style. Their diverse repertoire, presented in powerful medley format, never fails to score an emphatic triumph with its audience.
Motown Soul Grooving is the flagship of the Centrestage entertainment stable - they have performed together for 4 years and are vastly experienced in the corporate arena, where they have moulded a winning entertainment formula which keeps an audience mesmerized by their virtuosity and glued to the dancefloor.
They were recently flown to Mauritius by Pick n Pay where they wowed the enthusiastic Franchise holders with a 3 hour dance party which was said to be the highlight of their conference.
These performers have featured in an 8-show national road-show for pharmaceutical giant Rowlab/Sandoz, performed as the entertainment for the recent Trevor Manuel ANC fund-raising gala dinner and were chosen to entertain at this year's SA Conferencing Industry Banquet. They have performed for many other top companies such as Coca Cola, Volkswagen, Goodyear, Transnet etc as well as headlining conferences, government functions and mayoral banquets.
