The region's most popular radio station, AlgoaFM teams up with the Eastern Cape's most popular band, The Centrestage All-Star band, to celebrate a birthday milestone with the music that has shaped our lives!

The finale of the station's 21st birthday party celebrations comes in the form of a show which starts at the Boardwalk's Vodacom Amphitheatre on 3 October, moves to East London's Guild Theatre from 11 October, before taking in Graaf-Reinett on 17 October, Queenstown 23 Oct and Grahamstown on 24 October.

The musical selection, representing listener favourites and the most-requested songs over the past 21 years, is given the Centrestage high impact entertainment spin, with the focus on the songs that both defined and bridged our generations - and in doing so, got our feet tapping and bodies swaying.

From early party favourites such as Brown Eyed Girl, Pretty Woman, Bad Moon Rising, Hey Jude and Mony Mony to 80's and 90's classics such as Could You Be Loved, Bed of Roses, Summer of 69, Billy Jean, Africa, Beds Are Burning, Simply the Best, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Mamma Mia and A Kind of Magic, the show is set to rocket along! Centrestage showstoppers such as Bohemian Rhapsody, Impi and Hotel California are also included, as are more contemporary hits such as Where the Streets Have No Name, Angels, I'm Alive and Rockstar are also included. The boy-band phenomenon is saluted - and the Centrestage All-Star band will also put down their instruments to show their versatility and all-round vocal strength by performing a special a capella arrangement of the Beach Boy's Kokomo.

At the helm of proceedings is popular funnyman and drummer Gino Fabbri, whose crazy characters have become a firm crowd favourite. The music is directed once again by Donovan Hattingh, who was responsible as music director on the runaway successes, The Magnificent 7 1 and Mag 7 2 - The Next Generation, amongst other hit shows also involving the Centrestage All-Star Band. Donovan also plays lead guitar along with Wayne Kallis on acoustic and Mike McAully on bass. Keyboard duties are shared by Rory McLaren and Candy G, while Donna Africa and Lelanie Fourie make up the balance of the glamour department. To accommodate rugby fans, the 6th and 13th October performances will be followed by screenings of the games on big screens after the show.
